To change your password:
- Access the Data Administration tool if you are using a graphical interface or access the Data Dictionary if you are using a character interface.
- Choose Admin
Security
Change Your Password. The Data tool prompts you to enter your password.
- Enter your password. Remember that passwords are case sensitive. The Data tool prompts you to verify the new password.
As security administrator, you can change a user’s user ID or password, but only do so by deleting and then re-creating the user record. This way, users cannot be locked out of a database if they forget their user IDs or passwords.
Do not try to bypass the Data Dictionary or Data Administration tool to modify passwords. You might lock yourself out of the database.
